Predicting Unplanned Readmission Risk in Patients With Cirrhosis: Complication-Aware Dynamic Classifier Selection Approach.

College of Medical Informatics, Chongqing Medical University, 1 Yixueyuan Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, 400016, China, 86 13500303273.

Background: Cirrhosis is a leading cause of noncancer deaths in gastrointestinal diseases, resulting in high hospitalization and readmission rates. Early identification of high-risk patients is vital for proactive interventions and improving health care outcomes. However, the quality and integrity of real-world electronic health records (EHRs) limit their utility in developing risk assessment tools.

Objective: To describe the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of individuals exposed to smoking or biomass smoke and followed at primary health care (PHC) centers across three states in Brazil.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional multicenter study including patients followed at any of four PHC centers in Brazil. Patients ≥ 35 years of age who were smokers or former smokers, or were exposed to biomass smoke were included, the exception being those with physical/mental disabilities and those who were pregnant.

We study nonperturbative effects of torus partition function of the TT[over ¯]-deformed 2D conformal field theory (CFT) by resurgence in this Letter and a companion paper. The deformed partition function can be written as an infinite series of the deformation parameter λ. We develop highly efficient methods to compute perturbative coefficients in the λ expansion.

Subthalamic deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS) provides unprecedented spatiotemporal precision for the treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD), allowing for direct real-time state-specific adjustments. Inspired by findings from optogenetic stimulation in mice, we hypothesized that STN-DBS can mimic dopaminergic reinforcement of ongoing movement kinematics during stimulation. To investigate this hypothesis, we delivered DBS bursts during particularly fast and slow movements in 24 patients with PD.
