Importance: Consumer wearable technologies have wide applications, including some that have US Food and Drug Administration clearance for health-related notifications. While wearable technologies may have premarket testing, validation, and safety evaluation as part of a regulatory authorization process, information on their postmarket use remains limited. The Stanford Center for Digital Health organized 2 pan-stakeholder think tank meetings to develop an organizing concept for empirical research on the postmarket evaluation of consumer-facing wearables.

Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) is the only cancer in men to exhibit androgen sensitivity at diagnosis, which has allowed for the development of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). However, outcomes in high-risk PCa (HRPCa) remain significantly worse than low risk disease and the use of ADT varies among treatment algorithms and medical specialties. In men treated with radiation, testosterone recovery after completing ADT has been associated with oncologic outcomes.

Decades of antibiotic misuse have spurred an antimicrobial resistance crisis, creating an urgent demand for alternative treatment options. Although phototherapy has therapeutic potential, the efficacy of the most advanced photosensitizers (PS) is essentially limited by aggregation-induced quenching, which significantly reduces their therapeutic effect. To address these challenges, we developed a cationic metallocovalent organic framework (CRuP-COF) via a solvent-mediated dual-reaction synthesis strategy.

Purpose: During endoscopic endonasal access to small intraconal masses deep in the orbital apex, a line of fusion between inferior and medial recti is encountered distal to the termination of the common tendinous ring. The intraoperatively viewed length of this segment has not been quantified. To assist clinical recognition of this structure, our study quantifies its length and proposes the standardized nomenclature term of inferomedial extraocular muscle raphe (IM-EOMR).
