A catalytic asymmetric 1,3-acyloxy shift/polyene cyclization cascade has been achieved with good enantioselectivities under the catalysis of the chiral Au(I) reagent. The synthetic utility of this method has been showcased by the catalytic asymmetric total syntheses of (+)-2-ketoferruginol, (+)-fleuryinol B, and (+)-salviol. Notably, the first enantioselective total synthesis of (-)-erythroxylisin A has also been realized in 15 steps.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the association between the dynamics of routine metabolic markers and endometriosis severity.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients diagnosed with endometriosis at Zhongshan Hospital, Xiamen, affiliated with Fudan University. The collected data encompassed demographic details and biochemical indicators related to lipid, hepatobiliary, renal metabolism, and electrolyte balance.

Introduction: Cigarette smoking is a well-recognized independent risk factor for numerous cardiovascular disorders and contributes to the increasing morbidity and mortality associated with chronic heart diseases (CHD). This study aimed to evaluate how cigarette smoking affects lipid metabolism and inflammatory processes, along with other related mechanisms, in order to better understand the potential cardiovascular risks faced by smokers.
Objectives: To evaluate and compare the serum lipid profile and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels between cigarette smokers and non-smokers.
Background: Functional and structural studies of the brain highlight the importance of white matter alterations in schizophrenia. However, molecular studies of the alterations associated with the disease remain insufficient.
Aim: To study the lipidome and transcriptome composition of the corpus callosum in schizophrenia, including analyzing a larger number of biochemical lipid compounds and their spatial distribution in brain sections, and corpus callosum transcriptome data.

Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), primarily acetate (C2), propionate (C3), and butyrate (C4), are crucial microbial metabolites formed by the fermentation of dietary fibers by gut microbiota in the colon. These SCFAs, characterized by fewer than six carbon atoms, serve as an essential energy source for colonic epithelial cells and contribute approximately 10% of the body's total energy requirement. They are central to maintaining gut health through multiple mechanisms, including reinforcing intestinal barrier function, exerting anti-inflammatory effects, regulating glucose and lipid metabolism, and influencing host immune responses.

Chiral macrocycles hold significant importance in various scientific fields due to their unique structural and chemical properties. By controlling their size, shape, and substituents, chiral macrocycles offer a platform for designing and synthesizing highly efficient catalysts, chemosensors, and functional materials. We have recently made strides in developing macrocyclic organocatalysts; however, their synthesis remains challenging.
