IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a rare, progressive, and immune-mediated fibroinflammatory disorder that primarily affects middle-aged men and is more prevalent in Asian populations. Although extensively studied, its pathophysiology remains incompletely understood. This case report describes a 44-year-old male presenting with multiple abscesses and progressive inflammatory symptoms, ultimately diagnosed with IgG4-RD with musculoskeletal involvement.

Intracranial calcifications (ICCs) are a characteristic neuropathological feature of several congenital viral infections, including Zika virus (ZIKV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), and lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV). These lesions are linked to severe neurodevelopmental outcomes, such as microcephaly, epilepsy, and cognitive deficits, yet the mechanisms underlying their formation and resolution remain unclear. ICCs are thought to arise from an imbalance in osteogenic and osteolytic signaling in the developing brain.

Fluorine-fluorocholine (F-FCH) is a radiopharmaceutical used in primary hyperparathyroidism. The data about its utility in malignancies other than prostate and hepatocellular carcinoma is limited. We present the case of a patient who was referred for F-FCH positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) due to the persistently elevated parathormone and calcium levels following total thyroidectomy with left lower parathyroidectomy for parathyroid carcinoma (PTC).

Introduction: Although several elegant studies have reported apical periodontitis prevalence in different populations, far less is known about its associated bone loss and its correlation to sex and age. Thus, this study investigated the impact of sex and age differences on the severity of apical periodontitis (AP) using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and a volumetric periapical index (CBCT-PAI).
Material And Methods: CBCT scans of 401 patients (1,027 teeth) were analyzed by calibrated examiners in CBCTPAI.

Brown tumor is now an uncommon form of osteitis fibrosa cystica. It results from an imbalance in bone remodeling, which leads to osteolytic lesions. This process, marked by microfractures and discoloration, is triggered by persistently elevated parathyroid hormone levels in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients with tertiary hyperparathyroidism.
