A sharp rise in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) prevalence estimates, beginning in the 1990s, suggested factors additional to genetics were at play. This stimulated increased research investment in nongenetic factors, including the study of environmental chemical exposures, diet, nutrition, lifestyle, social factors, and maternal medical conditions. Consequently, both peer- and non-peer-reviewed bodies of evidence investigating environmental contributors to ASD etiology have grown significantly. The heterogeneity in the design and conduct of this research results in an inconclusive and unwieldy 'virtual stack' of publications. We propose to develop eb-based tool for utism esearch and the nvironment (aWARE) to comprehensively aggregate and assess these highly variable and often conflicting data. The interactive aWARE tool will use an approach for the development of systematic evidence maps (SEMs) to identify and display all available relevant published evidence, enabling users to explore multiple research questions within the scope of the SEM. Throughout tool development, listening sessions and workshops will be used to seek perspectives from the broader autism community. New evidence will be indexed in the tool annually, which will serve as a living resource to investigate the association between environmental factors and ASD.

Aims: The aim of this observational study is to describe the use of epiduroscopy to decrease the enlargement of the ligamentum flavum (LF) in patients with spinal stenosis, as well as the selection of the appropriate patient and the safety measures that enhance procedural success.
Materials & Methods: We introduce the patient selection protocol, define the appropriate indication and the safety measures to use the epiduroscopy as a tool to decrease the size of the LF and increase space, reducing possible complications.
Results: Among patients included in the study, there were no cases of access difficulty or coccydynia, and one case of urinary incontinence occurred in a patient with Schizas grade D (very severe) stenosis.

Latin American women, girls, and LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) individuals experience high rates of violence, making Latin America one of the world's most affected regions for gender-based violence. Television, a powerful socialization tool, shapes attitudes and influences behavior. This study analyzes 50 episodes from nine Spanish-language TV series set in Latin America, finding that 90% of episodes depict gender-based violence.

Simulations in three dimensions and time provide guidance on implantable, electroenzymatic glutamate sensor design; relative placement in planar sensor arrays; feasibility of sensing synaptic release events; and interpretation of sensor data. Electroenzymatic sensors based on the immobilization of oxidases on microelectrodes have proven valuable for the monitoring of neurotransmitter signaling in deep brain structures; however, the complex extracellular milieu featuring slow diffusive mass transport makes rational sensor design and data interpretation challenging. Simulations show that miniaturization of the disk-shaped device size below a radius of ∼25 μm improves sensitivity, spatial resolution, and the accuracy of glutamate concentration measurements based on calibration factors determined .
