Side substitution is an effective method for the chemical modification and functionalization of linear polyesters. The presence of side groups can have a profound effect on the crystalline structure and phase transition of semicrystalline polyesters. Herein, we synthesized the long-spaced polyesters with -OH and -CH side groups and various methylene segment lengths and studied the effects of the side groups on the crystal polymorph and phase transition of substituted polyesters. The substituted polyesters grow in the thermally stable phase (form I) at a higher temperature. However, the polyesters crystallize in a metastable hexagonal phase (form II) with chain conformation at a lower temperature. The metastable form II transforms into the more stable form I during long-time annealing or upon heating; this phase transition is accompanied by chain tilting and crystal lamellar thickening. This study has elucidated the critical role of side groups in the polymorphic crystallization and phase transition of linear polyesters.

Purpose: This study aimed to report and characterize bilateral renal artery (RA) variations observed during cadaveric dissection and to evaluate these findings in the context of embryological development and morphometric analysis.
Case Presentation: During routine anatomical dissection of an 87-year-old Caucasian male cadaver, bilateral variations in the renal arteries were identified. On the right side, two renal arteries (RRA1 and RRA2) were observed, each giving rise to presegmental and segmental branches.

Background: Among pregnant and postpartum women, decision-making for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine is influenced by vaccine safety concerns, misconceptions, shifting vaccine policies, and exclusion in the initial vaccine rollout. This caused confusion and vaccine hesitancy among many groups including pregnant and postpartum women.
Objective: The objective of this study was to understand the multilevel factors that influence vaccine decision-making among pregnant and postpartum women in Pakistan, which is crucial for improving vaccine demand among the vulnerable group-pregnant and postpartum women.

Background And Objective: While whole-gland therapies for localized prostate cancer (PCa) offer excellent oncological outcomes, these can impact patients' quality of life (QoL) through serious side effects. Focal therapy using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) has emerged as a less invasive alternative to preserve QoL. However, data on the psychological impact of HIFU remain rare.

Background: Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), a non-invasive brain stimulation method, can improve depressive symptoms by applying weak electric direct currents to the scalp. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of adjunctive tDCS for adolescents with first-episode major depressive disorder (FE-MDD).
Methods: This double-blind, randomized, sham-controlled trial (RCT) was conducted between January 3, 2024, and August 24, 2024.
