Purpose: To investigate associations between dry eye disease (DED) symptoms and psychological distress (depression, anxiety, stress) among undergraduate health sciences and nursing students in the Gaza Strip during the 2023-2025 conflict period.
Methods: A cross-sectional study used convenience sampling via WhatsApp and face-to-face interviews between 4 February and 29 April 2025. Participants completed a demographic form, the Arabic Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI), and the Arabic Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-8 (DASS-8).

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are persistent organic pollutants with increasing prevalence in agricultural soils, primarily introduced through biosolid application, wastewater irrigation, and atmospheric deposition. This review provides a meta-analysis of terminologies across 145 peer-reviewed studies, identifying inconsistency in the classification of PFAS subgroups-such as "long-chain vs. short-chain," "precursors," and "emerging PFAS"-which hinders regulatory harmonization and model calibration.

This study explores highly active nitride-based g-CN/CuO photocatalysts for CO photoconversion by synthesizing them through high-pressure torsion (HPT) straining. Data indicate that increasing the applied strain under high pressure promotes vacancy formation and improves the electronic interaction at the g-CN/CuO interphases, enabling superior charge separation and extended light absorption. The generation of dual vacancies of oxygen and nitrogen is verified by electron paramagnetic resonance and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic methods, and the generation of a type-II heterojunction is confirmed by band structure analysis.
