The rise in availability of neuroimaging has led to an increase in incidentally discovered meningiomas. These tumors are typically asymptomatic and tend to display slow growth. Treatment options include observation with serial monitoring, radiation, and surgery. Although optimal management is unclear, clinicians recommend a conservative approach, which preserves quality of life and limits unnecessary intervention. Several risk factors have been investigated for their potential utility in the development of prognostic models for risk assessment. Herein, the authors review the current literature on incidental meningiomas, focusing their discussion on potential predictive factors for tumor growth and appropriate management practices.

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) rhinorrhea is a relatively rare medical condition characterized by the drainage of CSF through the nasal cavity. Cerebrospinal fluid leakage can be attributed to a plethora of different causes, mostly traumatic or iatrogenic, but it can also be spontaneous. Due to its rare entity, CSF rhinorrhea is often a diagnostic trap and can be misdiagnosed and mistreated as rhinosinusitis or allergic rhinitis.

Background: Core Outcome Sets (COS) define the minimum outcomes that should be measured and reported in all clinical trials for a specific health condition or health area. The aim was to develop 2 COS for intracranial meningioma to be used in future clinical studies: COSMIC: Intervention for effectiveness trials and COSMIC: Observation for studies of incidental/untreated meningioma.
Methods: A study advisory group was formed with representation from international stakeholder groups: EORTC BTG, ICOM, EANO, SNO, RANO-PRO, BNOS, SBNS, BIMS, TBTC, International Brain Tumour Alliance, and Brainstrust.

Diffuse pulmonary meningotheliomatosis (DPM) is a rare lung disease characterized by the proliferation of meningothelial-like cells within the pulmonary interstitium. It predominantly affects middle-aged women and is often asymptomatic, although mild respiratory symptoms may occur. Chest CT typically shows diffuse and bilateral micronodules, and histology confirms meningothelial-like nodules expressing epithelial membrane antigen (EMA), CD56, and progesterone receptor.
