Article Abstract

We report the generation of picosecond pulsed light at a 266 nm wavelength with an average power of 53 W. We developed a picosecond pulsed 1064 nm laser source with an average power of 261 W, a repetition rate of 1 MHz, and a pulse duration of 14 ps, using a gain-switched DFB laser diode as a seed laser and a 914 nm laser-diode-pumped Nd-doped YVO power amplifier. We achieved stable generation of 266 nm light with an average power of 53 W from frequency quadrupling using an LBO and a CLBO crystals. The amplified power of 261 W and the 266 nm average power of 53 W from the 914 nm pumped Nd:YVO amplifier are the highest ever reported, to the best of our knowledge.

Objectives: To systematically review and meta-analyse the risk factors proposed by the American College of Rheumatology and American College of Chest Physicians as screening tools for rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD), focusing exclusively on studies using high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) in prospectively collected data from unselected RA patients.

Method: A comprehensive search was conducted to identify studies evaluating RA-ILD risk factors. Selection criteria included studies using HRCT in prospective, unselected RA cohorts.

Purpose: To determine the accuracy of a new machine learning-based open-source IOL formula (PEARLS-DGS) in 100 patients who underwent uncomplicated cataract surgery and had a history of laser refractive surgery for myopic defects.

Methods: The setting for this retrospective study was HUMANITAS Research Hospital, Milan, Italy. Data from 100 patients with a history of photorefractive keratectomy or laser in situ keratomileusis were retrospectively analyzed to assess the accuracy of the formula.

Objectives: To compare the accuracy of two different corneal refractive power measurements in intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation in post-myopic-LASIK eyes.

Methods: Post-myopic-LASIK patients scheduled for cataract surgery were enrolled. Corneal refractive power centred on corneal apex (K) and pupil centre (K), decentration of ablation zone, and Kappa angle were measured by Pentacam.

Animal studies indicating an association of exposure to extremely low frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF-EMFs) and noise with reproductive dysfunctions. Nonetheless, the potential impacts of exposure to these hazardous agents on the human prostate gland remain unidentified. To assess the relationship between co-exposure to ELF-EMF and noise and the levels of prostate-specific antigen (PSA), a longitudinal study was conducted over eight years among workers at a thermal power station from 2016 to 2024.

Background: Emotion recognition from electroencephalography (EEG) can play a pivotal role in the advancement of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). Recent developments in deep learning, particularly convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and hybrid models, have significantly enhanced interest in this field. However, standard convolutional layers often conflate characteristics across various brain rhythms, complicating the identification of distinctive features vital for emotion recognition.
