Objectives: Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) is a rare cancer currently affecting over 11,736 patients across Europe. Since PMP is so uncommon, collaboration between scientific centers is key to discovering the mechanisms behind the disease, efficient treatments, and targets pointing to a cure. To date, no consensus has been reached on the minimum data that should be collected during PMP research studies. This issue has become more important as biobanking becomes the norm. This paper begins the discussion around a minimum data set that should be collected by researchers through a review of available clinical trial reports in order to facilitate collaborative efforts within the PMP research community.
Content: A review of articles from PubMed, CenterWatch, ClinicalTrials.gov and MedRxiv was undertaken, and clinical trials reporting PMP results selected.
Summary: There is a core set of data that researchers report, including age and sex, overall survival, peritoneal cancer index (PCI) score, and completeness of cytoreduction, but after this, reports become variable.
Outlook: Since PMP is a rare disease, it is important that reports include as large of a number of standardised data points as possible. Our research indicates that there is still much ground to cover before this becomes a reality.

Punicalagin, a polyphenolic compound extracted from pomegranate peel, has received increasing attention in recent years due to its antibacterial and antiviral properties. Punicalagin is capable of inhibiting bacterial growth at sub-inhibitory concentrations by affecting cell membrane formation, disrupting membrane integrity, altering cell permeability, affecting efflux pumps, interfering with quorum sensing and influencing virulence factors. Additionally, punicalagin inhibits viruses by modulating enzyme activity, interacting with viral surface proteins, affecting gene expression, blocking viral attachment, disrupting virus receptor interaction and inhibiting viral replication.

Artificial neural networks are limited in the number of patterns that they can store and accurately recall, with capacity constraints arising from factors such as network size, architectural structure, pattern sparsity, and pattern dissimilarity. Exceeding these limits leads to recall errors, eventually leading to catastrophic forgetting, which is a major challenge in continual learning. In this study, we characterize the theoretical maximum memory capacity of single-layer feedforward networks as a function of these parameters.

Inequality (concentration) curves such as Lorenz, Bonferroni, Zenga curves, as well as a new inequality curve - the curve, are broadly used to analyse inequalities in wealth and income distribution in certain populations. Quantile versions of these inequality curves are more robust to outliers. We discuss several parametric estimators of quantile versions of the Zenga and curves.

Swimming in cold water is intrinsically unsafe. One of the threats is a fall in deep-body temperature, which adversely affects all body systems and increases the risk of death. Wetsuits mitigate, but do not negate this threat.
