Timely and accurate statistics on the labour market enable policymakers to rapidly respond to changing economic conditions. Estimates of job vacancies by national statistical agencies are highly accurate but reported infrequently and with time lags. In contrast, online job postings provide a high-frequency indicator of vacancies with less accuracy. In this study we develop a robust signal averaging algorithm to measure job vacancies using online job postings data. We apply the algorithm using data on Australian job postings and show that it accurately predicts changes in job vacancies over a 4.5-year period. We also show that the algorithm is significantly more accurate than using raw counts of job postings to predict vacancies. The algorithm therefore offers a promising approach to the timely and reliable measurement of changes in vacancies.

Aim(s): To demonstrate, through an integrative theoretical synthesis, how fully paid parental leave functions as a boundary-management strategy that enhances nurse well-being and retention; thereby supporting sustainable workforce capacity.
Design: Discursive paper.
Methods: Directed literature synthesis (2010-2025) across nursing, organisational psychology, labour economics and health-policy databases; thematic mapping of findings to organisational support theory, ethics-of-care theory and role theory; cross-case comparison of four national leave frameworks.

Background: The Health Extension Program (HEP) is Ethiopia's flagship program introduced in 2003 to ensure equitable access to primary healthcare services. Recently, inefficiency in the time use patterns of staff of the HEP, including absenteeism and non-productive engagements, has been reported as a major challenge.
Objective: This qualitative study explored what factors influenced their time use and efficiency.
Background: Public health nurses are a distinct occupation and specialty with a 140-year history, and are recognized as a core component of the public health workforce in local, state, tribal and territorial health departments. However, the US Department of Labor does not categorize them as a distinct occupation.
Purpose: Our goal was to differentiate job duties, skills, or competencies between public health nurses and other registered nurses.

Technostress has emerged as a prevalent source of workplace stress as artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly integrated into organizations. However, current literature predominantly focuses on the negative psychological impacts of technostress, highlighting the need for research into its potential benefits. To clarify the impact of technostress on employee innovative behavior, this study proposes a conceptual model grounded in transactional stress theory.

Introduction: The UK's medical workforce is under increasing strain, and this is compounded by increasing numbers of resident doctors diverging from specialist training pathways, instead entering non-training roles, reducing clinical hours or leaving the profession or UK workforce entirely. These decisions are shaped by both individual motivations and wider structural conditions, including unsatisfactory working conditions, limited flexibility and a perceived lack of support or autonomy. While pursuing alternative career routes offers personal and professional benefits, they can also delay progression to senior clinical roles, contributing to workforce instability.
