Objective: This study aimed to evaluate treatment indications, compare therapeutic approaches, and assess outcomes in patients with infrarenal penetrating aortic ulcers (iPAUs).
Methods: This was a retrospective, multicentre, observational study of patients with iPAUs treated between January 2018 and December 2022 across 12 European centres. Treatment strategies included open surgical repair (OSR) and endovascular techniques, including balloon expandable stent grafts (BESGs), covered endovascular reconstruction of the aortic bifurcation (CERAB), and endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) using bifurcated or tube grafts.

Portopulmonary hypertension (POPH), a subtype of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), develops with portal hypertension and may persist after liver transplantation. While there have been successes using balloon-occluded retrograde transvenous obliteration (BRTO) for POPH, no reports exist on long-term follow-up. A 60-year-old man with hepatitis C cirrhosis developed POPH.

An electrical storm (ES) represents one of cardiology's most formidable and life-threatening crises, marked by relentless ventricular arrhythmias within a 24-hour period. While stimulant cardiotoxicity is an escalating concern, the devastating role of methamphetamine in triggering refractory ES and its deleterious outcomes in advanced cardiomyopathy, particularly within the critical care setting, remains profoundly underreported and poorly understood. We present the urgent case of a 44-year-old male with end-stage dilated cardiomyopathy and chronic, heavy methamphetamine abuse, who spiraled into incessant ventricular tachycardia (VT) storm following acute methamphetamine use.

Methods: Between 2014 and 2023, we performed FETO for severe or moderate left-sided CDH with the Kitano Grade 3 stomach position. We analyzed the pre- and post-operative ultrasound findings, pregnancy outcomes, and survival rates at six months.

Purpose Of Review: Symptom relief is now recognized as the primary remit of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with stable coronary artery disease. The relationship between the nature of angina symptoms and the likelihood of successful symptom relief from PCI had not been systematically studied until recently.
Recent Findings: The ORBITA-2 symptom-stratified analysis found that while the severity and nature of symptoms were poorly associated with the severity of coronary disease, the nature of the symptoms powerfully predicted the efficacy of PCI in relieving angina.
