Myocardial infarction (MI) is defined pathologically as myocardial cell death resulting from prolonged ischaemia. The clinical definition of this pathological process relies on clinical evidence of myocardial ischaemia and biomarker evidence of myocardial cell death. Cardiac troponins are the standard clinical biomarker for assessing cardiac cell death.

Background: Correct sizing of Oxford Medial Unicompartmental Knee Replacement (OUKR) femoral component can be challenging. Incorrect sizing can increase risk of bearing dislocation or revision. Background: Surgery resulting in tissue removal and the formation of dead space is traditionally managed with surgical drains. Drains are used to reduce fluid accumulation and decrease the risk of infection, dehiscence, and seroma formation. However, drains do not actively appose adjacent tissue planes to address dead space.

Importance: Postnatal intensive care for preterm infants born at 22 to 23 weeks' gestation is increasing, although survival rates remain low. Information on outcomes for multiple countries or regions can be important for research, benchmarking, quality improvement, and parental counseling.
Objective: To evaluate survival and major morbidities and their between-network variations in infants born at 22 to 23 weeks' gestation in 11 neonatal networks participating in the International Network for Evaluation of Outcomes (iNeo) in neonates in 12 countries or regions.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to use highly complete data from publicly and privately funded radiation therapy centers to describe national-level receipt of radiation therapy for those diagnosed with lung cancer in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Methods: We linked national health datasets to New Zealand Cancer Registry lung cancer registrations from the period 2012-2019 (n = 18,081) to describe the radiation therapy delivery overall and in terms of treatment intent patterns, for all lung cancer registrations and by tumor type. We use marginal standardization and regression modeling to describe the extent to which these treatment factors vary by patient characteristic and population sub-group, independent of other factors.
