NSG-SGM3 humanized mouse models are well-suited for studying human immune physiology but are technically challenging and expensive. We previously characterized a simplified NSG-SGM3 mouse, engrafted with human donor CD34 hematopoietic stem cells without receiving prior bone marrow ablation or human secondary lymphoid tissue implantation, that still retains human mast cell- and basophil-dependent passive anaphylaxis responses. Its capacities for human antibody production and human B cell maturation, however, remain unknown.

Background: Centromeres are crucial for precise chromosome segregation and maintaining genome stability during cell division. However, their evolutionary dynamics, particularly in polyploid organisms with complex genomic architectures, remain largely enigmatic. Allopolyploid wheat, with its well-defined hierarchical ploidy series and recent polyploidization history, serves as an excellent model to explore centromere evolution.

Kinematic alignment is increasingly adopted in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) as a patient-specific strategy to restore native joint anatomy. However, its reliance on static radiographic measurements may not adequately reflect real-world functional biomechanics. Intra-familial weight stigma is a subtle yet impactful dynamic that may influence the outcomes of family-based interventions aimed at treating childhood obesity. While much attention has been paid to societal and peer-related weight stigma, less focus has been placed on how stigma manifests within families. This position statement highlights the importance of recognising that such stigma can unintentionally arise in the home.
