Introduction: Micro-RNAs (miRNAs) participate in different biological processes, including fetal hypoxia. In this work, we aimed to evaluate the existence of a miRNA differential expression profile in maternal blood of pregnancies affected with late-onset fetal growth restriction (LO-FGR).
Methods: In a prospective study, a group of 35 fetuses were evaluated with Doppler ultrasound after 36 weeks.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are considered more stable than mRNA, but the impact of progressive thawing of biological samples after freezing as may happen during shipping delays has not been quantified. To address this, we utilized digital PCR to estimate the absolute concentrations of select miRNAs following progressive thawing of human plasma and maintenance at ambient temperature. Specifically, we quantified let-7b-3p, miR-144-5p, miR-150-5p, miR-517a-3p, miR-524-5p, and miR-1283, which have varying abundance in plasma.

Nano-sized extracellular vesicles (EVs) possess a lipid bilayer and are secreted from cells into their surrounding environment. The transport of multiple biomolecules, including DNA together with RNA, microRNAs (miRNAs), lipids, proteins, and metabolites, happens through biofluids via EVs for intercellular communication. Extracellular vesicles play crucial roles during the embryo production (IVEP) process.

Aim: Early cervical cancer diagnosis is a global challenge that needs to be addressed by the discovery of less invasive diagnostic and prognostic approaches. Circulating miRNAs are stable in plasma and their diagnostic potentials have been elucidated in some cancers. Therefore, in this cross-sectional study, we determined the patterns of expression of 7 selected circulating microRNAs that differ between patients with cervical cancer receiving therapy, patients with cervical not on therapy and healthy females.

Background: Sepsis is a life-threatening response to an infection, often complicated by sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (SA-AKI). Early recognition of SA-AKI is critical but challenged by the limited sensitivity of existing diagnostic markers. MicroRNAs (miRNAs), which regulate key SA-AKI pathways, have shown diagnostic promise, yet their clinical utility in early SA-AKI recognition remains unexplored.
