We report a case of accidental local Tc-MDP uptake in left lung on bone scan without pulmonary parenchymal abnormality on SPECT/CT. The abnormal uptake disappeared on repeated bone scan and SPECT/CT after 3 days. It is speculated that the high radioactivity focus is a microthrombus in pulmonary artery.

This report describes a case of ivermectin toxicosis in a 4-day-old thoroughbred colt successfully treated with intravenous lipid emulsion (ILE) without complications. This case supports the use of ILE as a safe and effective therapy for the management of lipophilic drug toxicosis in foals. Key clinical message: Ivermectin toxicosis, though rare in equine neonates, can occur following accidental overdose and induces severe neurologic signs.

Background: In the context of this paper, airport/seaport malaria denotes the accidental relocation by air or sea of a malaria infected mosquito to Europe, a non-endemic area, the survival of the transported mosquito and subsequent blood meal and infection of a local person. Autochthonous malaria refers to locally transmitted cases of malaria in Europe.
Methods: The systematic review followed PRISMA guidelines and was registered on PROSPERO (CRD42023444243).

This descriptive case series presents the medical and occupational histories of three professional jockeys with long-term disabilities following work-related accidents. Each individual commenced their jockey career in early adolescence.
