Arterial claudication is a common manifestation of peripheral artery disease. This document focuses on necessary imaging before revascularization for claudication. Appropriate use of ultrasound, invasive arteriography, MR angiography, and CT angiography are discussed. The ACR Appropriateness Criteria are evidence-based guidelines for specific clinical conditions that are reviewed annually by a multidisciplinary expert panel. The guideline development and revision process support the systematic analysis of the medical literature from peer reviewed journals. Established methodology principles such as Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation or GRADE are adapted to evaluate the evidence. The RAND/UCLA Appropriateness Method User Manual provides the methodology to determine the appropriateness of imaging and treatment procedures for specific clinical scenarios. In those instances where peer reviewed literature is lacking or equivocal, experts may be the primary evidentiary source available to formulate a recommendation.

Introduction: The association between Fibromyalgia (FM) and the FMR1 gene premutation has been suggested, but remains inconclusively established. Previous studies often focus on whether women with FM have the FMR1 premutation, while a more appropriate approach would involve examining FM manifestation in women with the premutation. FM is a condition with multifactorial etiology, and while the rarity of the FMR1 premutation makes it unlikely that most FM cases are linked to this variation, an increased prevalence of FM among premutation carriers is still plausible.

Purpose This foundational study aims to support the development of regional Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs) for mammography screening in India by estimating Mean Glandular Dose (MGD) using appropriate breast-equivalent phantoms across Computed Mammography (CR), Digital Mammography (DR), and Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) systems. Additionally, system-displayed MGD values were compared with calculated MGDs to evaluate their accuracy for routine clinical use. Methods A total of 5,000 mammographic views were collected across CR, DR, and DBT units.

Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a frequent and potentially life-threatening complication of systemic sclerosis, affecting 40 to 50% of patients. Systematic screening with high-resolution computed tomography and pulmonary function tests (PFTs), including DLCO, is recommended at diagnosis. ILD may be present even in patients with normal PFTs.

Objectives: To analyze the quality and appropriateness of head CT referrals from the emergency department (ED) of a single hospital in Italy.
Materials And Methods: A quality care study was designed to retrospectively identify consecutive head CT referrals generated from the ED of a tertiary hospital between January 1 and April 30, 2022. Referral quality was assessed using the Reason for Exam Imaging Reporting and Data System (RI-RADS), while referral appropriateness was evaluated according to the American College of Radiology (ACR) criteria.

Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune disorder for which there are no universally accepted diagnostic criteria, although classification criteria do exist, as is the case with most autoimmune diseases. Until 2023, the 2006 Sydney classification criteria were in use. Although originally intended for research purposes, these criteria have often been employed in clinical practice as a substitute for diagnostic guidelines, thereby conflating classification with diagnosis.
