Background: Entropy-Driven Circuits (EDC), distinguished by their spontaneous operation and absence of enzymatic reactions, represent a superior strategy for integration with CRISPR/Cas systems, as they obviate the potential for interference among various enzymes during the process of DNA amplification and CRISPR/Cas system integration. Due to the wide band gap of TiO, its response to visible light is limited, and owing to its high crystallinity and exceptionally stable crystal lattice, the charge transfer (CT) process in TiO is suboptimal.
Results: In this study, lychee-like Fe-TiO was firstly prepared to serve as Raman enhanced substrate, facilitating exciton capture and separation to exhibit an excellent Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) performance.

Objective: The consortium ALT-SPF performed an international round robin test to characterize non-invasive methods as alternatives to the erythema-based testing of sun protection factor (SPF) according to ISO 24444:2019.
Methods: Hybrid diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (HDRS) based on a multi-lambda LED light source uses in vivo reflectance spectra on skin to determine sunscreens in vivo absorbance spectra, which are fused with respective in vitro absorbance spectra measured as thin films transmission as described in ISO 24443:2019. As a part of the ALT-SPF consortium initiative, a blinded study on 64 samples was performed in four European laboratories.

Objective: Alternative methods to the traditional in vivo sun protection factor (SPF) test are desirable for many reasons. Hybrid DRS (HDRS) (combining in vitro transmission spectroscopy with in vivo DRS spectroscopy) was used in an extensive ring study to characterize its ability to estimate topical sunscreen protection and compared with the currently recognized 'gold standard' human in vivo Sun Protection Factor (SPF-ISO24444), Ultraviolet-A Protection Factor (UVA-PF), and Critical Wavelength (CW) (ISO 24443) Reference Methods sponsored by the Alternative SPF Consortium.
Methods: Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) of skin provides a rapid, convenient non-invasive tool to evaluate skin properties as well as the optical properties of materials applied to the skin, such as sunscreens.

Classic techniques such as the Tzanck smear, potassium hydroxide (KOH) preparation, and Wood's lamp examination remain fundamental in everyday clinical practice due to their simplicity, speed, and accessibility. At the same time, the development of non-invasive imaging technologies and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) have opened new frontiers in the early detection and monitoring of both neoplastic and inflammatory skin diseases.

Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita (CMTC) is a rare congenital vascular anomaly characterized by a persistent, violaceous, reticulated skin pattern. It may present as a benign isolated lesion or as part of a broader syndrome with systemic anomalies such as limb asymmetry, glaucoma, or neurological impairment. We report a case series of three neonates with CMTC, each representing a distinct clinical pattern: localized, segmental, and generalized.
