2D and 3D epitaxies of the main {010}, {001} and {100} forms of deposited bassanite (CaSO·0.5HO) on {10.4} calcite (CaCO) as a substrate are described to provide a theoretical crystallographic background for the replacement of calcite by bassanite both in nature and in the laboratory and by weathering linked to cultural heritage. First, epitaxy in the third dimension, perpendicular to the investigated interfaces, has been verified in order to establish whether adsorption/absorption can occur (as anomalous mixed crystals) at the bassanite/calcite epi-contacts. Secondly, and by applying the Hartman-Perdok method, 2D lattice coincidences have been obtained from the physical-geometric matches of bonds running in the common directions within the elementary slices facing the substrate/deposit interfaces. This research represents the second and more detailed part of a wider program extended to the epi-interactions between the following pairs: (i) {010}-gypsum/{10.4}-calcite (just published); (ii) bassanite/{10.4}-calcite (the present work); and (iii) anhydrite (CaSO)/{10.4}-calcite (coming soon).

Background: The ideal harvesting techniques of the left internal mammary artery (LIMA) for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) are elusive. We assessed the safety and resource utilisation efficiency of semi-skeletonised LIMA harvesting techniques, focusing on length, harvesting time, and the number of Ligaclips used compared to skeletonised techniques within a single surgeon's practice.
Methods: The BANGABANDHU (Bangladeshi Atherosclerosis Biobank AND Hub) study was an ambispective observational cohort that evaluated age- and sex-matched 2209 adult Bangladeshi isolated CABG population from 1st January 2015 to 31 January 2025.

Background: In recent years, hospital stays after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) have shortened. Previous studies have shown that next-day discharge (NDD) is feasible without compromising patient safety, but data from the Dutch hospital setting are lacking. To assess the real-world effect of a NDD policy after TAVR.

Background: Weight discrimination is associated with poorer health but has not been studied using social network analysis. This is surprising, as discrimination is a highly social phenomenon, and peer relationships are associated with health, discrimination, and behavior.
Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze relationships between freshman health and weight discrimination in college social networks during October-December, 2021.

Objective: To explore and visually display differences in the distribution of the Glasgow Outcome Scale - Extended (GOS-E) over time after traumatic brain injury (TBI), focusing on variations in outcome distributions based on GOS-E at Year 1 postinjury and age at injury.
Setting: Community.
Participants: 14 010 individuals who received inpatient rehabilitation in the TBI Model Systems.

Background: Chronic conditions (CCs) represent a growing global burden, with profound implications for quality of life and the long-term sustainability of health systems. High-quality primary care is fundamental to the effective management of CCs, yet patient-reported experiences of care quality remain inconsistent. This study aimed to assess the quality of primary care delivered to patients with CCs in Slovenia and to identify factors associated with perceived care quality.
