Varietal mixtures are a promising agro-ecological approach to stabilizing yields by reducing diseases. The effects of mixtures stem from modifications of epidemiological processes and underestimated plant-plant interactions, which could explain some of the paradoxical observations made in the field. However, the role of plant-plant interactions in modifying bread wheat and durum wheat susceptibility to Septoria tritici blotch remains to be elucidated.

Background: Bone marrow (BM) Measurable Residual Disease (MRD) assessments underestimate disease burden in multiple myeloma, as focal lesions can exist outside the marrow. Functional imaging, like positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT), offers valuable insights into residual disease beyond the marrow. Combining marrow flow cytometry (FCM) with PET-CT for a composite MRD (cMRD) assessment before and after autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) is expected to provide prognostic information, particularly in settings where patients receive extended duration of anti-myeloma therapy prior to ASCT.

China's aluminum-products industry, a large-scale consumer of industrial paints, is a potentially significant source of full-volatility organic compounds (F-VOCs). However, the emission characteristics of F-VOCs, including VOCs, intermediate-, semi-, and low-volatility organic compounds (I/S/LVOCs), and their role in ozone formation potentials (OFP), and secondary organic aerosol formation potentials (SOAP) remain unclear. In this study, we collected in-field samples from three industrial paints (solvent-based, water-based and powder paints) at spraying and drying processes, and treatment devices to analyze the emission characteristics of F-VOCs, OFP, SOAP.

Objective: Previous studies have mainly focused on the relationship between the Chinese Visceral Adiposity Index (CVAI) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in general or overweight/obese populations. However, normal-weight hypertensive patients represent a clinically relevant yet understudied group, in whom OSA risk may be underestimated due to the absence of overt obesity. This study aimed to investigate the association between CVAI and OSA in normal-weight patients with hypertension, given the important role of visceral adiposity in the pathogenesis of OSA.
