Background: Appendiceal adenocarcinomas and low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasms (LAMNs) are rare tumours. Much of the existing knowledge is derived from registry-based studies, particularly the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database in the USA.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study used data from the Swedish Cancer Registry, Swedish Cause of Death Registry, and the National Patient Registry to analyse demographic characteristics and outcomes of patients diagnosed with appendiceal adenocarcinoma or LAMN between 2005 and 2019.

Atopic dermatitis is a risk factor for venous thromboembolism which may be the first manifestation of occult cancer. We examined whether a venous thromboembolism in patients with atopic dermatitis is a marker of occult cancer. We used Danish health registries to conduct this population-based cohort study.

Objective: To characterize severe asthma phenotypes and compare pre- to post-biologic change in asthma outcomes along a gradient of T2-involvement.

Background: Drug-coated devices are frequently used in coronary and peripheral interventions, but their effect on amputation risk in peripheral artery disease is unclear. We assessed whether drug-coated devices affect the rate of above-ankle amputation in patients with chronic limb-threatening ischaemia undergoing infrainguinal endovascular revascularisation.
Methods: The Swedish Drug-Elution Trial in Peripheral Arterial Disease 1 (SWEDEPAD 1) was a pragmatic, nationwide, multicentre, participant-masked, registry-based, randomised controlled trial at 22 Swedish centres.
