Myalgic encephalitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) is an acquired intractable disease characterized by profound fatigue, post-exertional malaise, sleep disturbance, cognitive impairment, and orthostatic intolerance, among other features. The onset often follows an infectious episode. Importantly, the various types of autonomic dysfunctions, pain, and intolerance to various stimuli in ME/CFS patients are intrinsically different from the "fatigue" of healthy individuals. In this short essay, I summarize the current diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for ME/CFS, as well as the progress in the immunological and imaging research on this intractable disease.

Background: Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is a complex chronic pain syndrome disorder characterized by several symptoms, including widespread pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, cognitive dysfunction, and mood disorders, with an unknown etiology, and unclear pathophysiology.
Purpose: In this study, a Positive Psychotherapy Program for Patients with Fibromyalgia Syndrome was developed to change the pain perception of patients with fibromyalgia syndrome, optimize their activities of daily living, and improve their mental state, and the effectiveness of the program was confirmed.
Design: We employed a randomized controlled design in this investigation, utilizing a pretest (at baseline), posttest (at the end of the ten-week intervention), and follow-up (in the third month) approach.

Objective: Approximately 30% of the 700 000 US Gulf War Veterans (GWVs) report symptoms collectively termed Gulf War Illness (GWI), a multisymptom illness of uncertain pathophysiology. Prior studies in GWI focus on overlap with irritable bowel syndrome. This study examines the associations between upper gastrointestinal (UGI) symptoms, GWI and specialty GI care.

Case Presentation: A 75-year-old male with prostate cancer and multiple bone metastases developed grade 2 rash and grade 3 liver dysfunction according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) 3 weeks after starting apalutamide with a GnRH antagonist, followed by a 3-day fever. Ten days later, symptoms worsened to grade 3 rash and grade 4 liver dysfunction.

Heart failure (HF) is a progressive clinical syndrome characterised by insufficient cardiac output due to structural and functional abnormalities of the heart, which can then lead to breathlessness, fatigue and fluid overload. HF has an associated high morbidity and mortality rate as well as a significant impact on healthcare resources; for example, in the UK, it accounts for 5% of National Health Service (NHS) emergency admissions. This review focuses on pharmacological treatment of chronic HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), which affects approximately 60% of patients with HF.

Background: Pulmonary marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALToma) is the most common form of primary pulmonary lymphoma. Data on clinic-radiologic presentation, diagnostic methods, and clinical outcome are relatively sparse.
Methods: Retrospective study of 71 patients with biopsy-proven pulmonary MALToma encountered at Mayo Clinic from 1998 to 2022.
