Salt stress affects plant growth and productivity. In this study we determined the roles of eight genes involved in photosynthesis, using gene co-expression network analysis, under salt-stress conditions using Arabidopsis knockout mutants. The green area of the leaves was minimum in the mutant line. Rice , a homolog of , was ectopically expressed in the mutant line to generate revertant lines. Under salt stress, the revertant lines exhibited significantly higher net photosynthesis rates than the mutant line. Moreover, the operating efficiency of photosystem II (PSII) and electron transport rate of the revertant lines were higher than those of the wild type and mutant line after 10 days of exposure to salt stress. After this period, the protein PsbD-the component of PSII-decreased in all lines tested without significant difference among them. However, the chlorophyll and , carotenoid, and anthocyanin contents of revertant lines were higher than those of the mutant line. Furthermore, lower maximum chlorophyll fluorescence was detected in the revertant lines. This suggests that expression contributed to the salt tolerance phenotype by modifying the energy dissipation process and led to the ability to maintain photosynthesis under salt stress conditions.

Human cord blood (CB) myeloid progenitor reprogramming to a high-fidelity human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) state can be achieved using non-integrating episomal vectors and stromal signals. These conventional, primed CB-hiPSC lines can subsequently be chemically reverted with high efficiencies to a blastomere-like Tankyrase/PARP Inhibitor-Regulated Naive Stem Cell (TIRN-SC) state with functional totipotency. PARP-regulated TIRN-SCs are human stem cells with high epigenetic plasticity, stable epigenomic imprints, and have greater differentiation potency than conventional, lineage-primed hiPSCs.

Inclusion body myositis (IBM) is a progressive muscle disorder characterized by inflammation and degeneration with altered proteostasis. To better understand the interrelationship between these two features, we aimed at establishing a novel preclinical mouse model. First, we used quantitative PCR to determine expression of pro-inflammatory chemo- and cytokines including lymphotoxin (LT)-signaling pathway components in human skeletal muscle tissue diagnosed with myositis.

Context: Cervical cancer (CC) ranks as one of the most common types of malignant tumors affecting women. CDDO-Me is derived from oleanolic acid, a pentacyclic triterpenoid obtained by chemical structural modification, which has been shown anti-tumor effects.
Results: CC cell proliferation was decreased by CDDO-Me both in vitro and in vivo.

Orchidaceae seeds are tiny and undeveloped, commonly facing difficulties in germination under natural conditions. Therefore, investigating seed germination of orchids is critically important. In this study, Bletilla striata seed germination was completed, the germination process was divided into six stages through morphological and histocytological observation, including ungerminated seeds (BS0), imbibition (BS1), formation of rhizoids (BS2), protocorm (BS3), radicle (BS4) and plumule (BS5).

Background: The CD247 chain of the T-cell receptor (TCR) is essential for normal T cell development and function. Reported CD247-deficient patients showed severe immunodeficiency despite the presence of two populations of peripheral T cells, most with low TCR levels carrying the germline variant and a few with higher TCR levels due to somatic reversion. However, the revertant T cells remained a minority and did not improve the patients' clinical status.
