Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is a pivotal enzyme that is closely related with multiple neurological diseases, such as brain disorders or alterations in the neurotransmission and cancer. The development of convenient methods for imaging AChE activity in biological samples is very important to understand its mechanisms and functions in a living system. Herein, a fluorescent probe exhibiting emission in the near-infrared (NIR) region is developed to detect AChE and visualize biological AChE activities. This probe exhibits a quick response time, reasonable detection limit, and a large Stokes shift accompanied by the NIR emission. The probe has much better reactivity toward AChE than butyrylcholinesterase, which is one of the significant interfering substances. The outstanding specificity of the probe is proved by cellular imaging AChE activity and successful mapping in different regions of zebrafish. Such an effective probe can greatly contribute to ongoing efforts to design emission probes that have distinct properties to assay AChE in biological systems.

Method: The McCoy Female Sexuality Questionnaire (MFSQ) and the Day-to-Day Impact of Vaginal Aging (DIVA) questionnaire were distributed to 195 postmenopausal women. The most bothersome vulvovaginal symptoms were recorded.

Rotator cuff tendinopathy is a common cause of shoulder pain and dysfunction, presenting in two primary forms: calcific and non-calcific. These subtypes differ significantly in their pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and natural history, necessitating tailored diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. This review delineates the clinical presentations of calcific rotator cuff tendinopathy (RCCT), characterized by distinct pre-calcific, calcific, and post-calcific stages, and contrasts them with the more insidious, degenerative course of non-calcific rotator cuff tendinopathy.

Introduction: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a life-threatening condition with well-defined management strategies; however, the presence of a clot-in-transit (CIT)-a mobile thrombus within the right heart-introduces a uniquely high-risk scenario associated with a significantly elevated mortality rate. While several therapeutic approaches are available-including anticoagulation, systemic thrombolysis, surgical embolectomy, and catheter-directed therapies-there is no established consensus on a superior treatment modality. Catheter-based mechanical thrombectomy has emerged as a promising, minimally invasive alternative that mitigates the bleeding risks of systemic thrombolysis and the invasiveness of surgery.

Oral and maxillofacial space infection (OMSI) progresses rapidly, and when combined with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), it can become a serious and life-threatening condition. Cases of OMSI with concurrent DKA are relatively rare. This case report describes a young man who developed OMSI caused by methicillin-resistant in the setting of DKA.
