Background: Previous studies indicate that hippocampal (subfield) and amygdala volumes may correlate with specific cognitive functions, coping strategies and emotion regulation. Here, we investigated associations between emotional processing and volumes of hippocampal subfields and amygdala. We focused on depressed patients since emotional dysregulation and hippocampal volume shrinkage are characteristic of them.

Parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) face unique challenges that may significantly increase stress levels, potentially impacting the emotional well-being of the entire family. In Mexico, limited research has examined the association between parental stress and coping strategies among families with children with developmental disabilities. This study aimed to compare stress levels and coping strategies among parents of children with ASD, ADHD, and neurotypical developing (NTD) children, as well as to analyze differences in coping styles across these groups.

This comprehensive narrative review examines how social support influences participation in Phase 2 cardiac rehabilitation (CR2), a commonly structured 12-week outpatient program focused on supervised exercise, education, and lifestyle change. Literature published between 2005 and the present was reviewed across four databases, resulting in four studies that met the inclusion criteria. Social support was described across three dimensions (emotional, informational, and practical) to explore how these forms of support intersect with gender‑related patterns in health behaviors, coping, and engagement in CR2.

Surging rates in child internalizing problems require teachers to serve as frontline responders, especially in marginalized urban communities where structural barriers constrain access to healthcare resources. The current mixed methods study examined teachers' use and perceptions of tools for addressing anxiety in urban elementary schools serving predominately low-income and Black and Hispanic youth. Across surveys (N = 82) and interviews (n = 12), teachers were asked about their current practices, their perceptions of the most common evidence-based practice elements for youth anxiety, and their preferences for professional development (PD) materials going forward.
