Background And Objective: Women with asthma should continue controller therapy during pregnancy, but current evidence on the effects of inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) and long-acting beta2-agonists (LABA) on adverse fetal outcomes remains unclear.
Methods: This was a population-based retrospective cohort study. Data were derived from the Health and Welfare Database, Birth Certificate Application, and Maternal and Child Health Database in Taiwan, from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2018.

Since its discovery, the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the causative agent of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), has become the epicenter of public health concern. This was mainly attributed to the complexity of COVID-19 that resulted in variable disease progression with some developing asymptomatic infections, some suffering mild to moderate infections that resolved without the need for hospitalizations, and a few infected persons developing severe infections that required intensive care unit (ICU) admission and mechanical ventilation. The COVID-19 pandemic spread globally, affecting billions of people and killing millions.

Tuberculosis (TB) continues to cause significant global mortality, highlighting the need for improved drug delivery systems. The objective of this paper focuses in describing the formulation, optimization and in vivo assessment of rifampicin encapsulated PLGA microparticles for site-specific inhalation therapy. Microparticles for inhalation were produced by spray drying, and the DoE methodology was applied to reach the most suitable aerodynamic properties (mass median aerodynamics diameter (MMAD) 2.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory respiratory disease influenced by genetic and environmental factors. Emerging evidence suggests that microplastics and nanoplastics (NPs) pose significant health risks. When inhaled, these tiny particles can accumulate in the lungs, triggering inflammation, oxidative stress, and other disruptions in pulmonary function.

Introduction: Quantitative computed tomography (qCT) provides detailed spatial assessments of lung structure and function, while electrical impedance tomography (EIT) offers high temporal resolution for analyzing breathing patterns but lacks structural detail. This study investigates the correlation between qCT-based spatial variables and EIT-based temporal signals to elucidate the physiological relationships between these two modalities.
Methods: Six participants with asthma underwent pulmonary function tests (PFTs) before and after bronchodilator inhalation.
