Article Abstract

We present an erratum to our recent work [Appl. Opt.60, 10862 (2021)APOPAI0003-693510.1364/AO.440435] that corrects errors in Fig. 4 and the body of the paper. The corrections do not affect the results and conclusions of the original paper.

FDP-TF: A fast two-pass trend filtering for ECG delineation.

Comput Biol Med

August 2025

Polytechnic University of Madrid, Department of Audiovisual and Communications Engineering, Madrid, Spain.

ECG delineation, which involves detecting key waveform features such as P, QRS, and T waves, is essential for accurate cardiac monitoring and diagnosis. In a recent study, the authors introduced the Adaptive Trend Filtering (ATF) algorithm, which effectively identifies local extrema in ECG signals for both denoising and delineation, demonstrating strong performance compared to state-of-the-art methods. However, its implementation using the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) resulted in long execution times, limiting its practical application.

We report a quantification approach for directly determining total tin and tin-based pollutants/species in sediments via electrothermal vaporization/inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ETV/ICP-MS) utilizing an on-line isotope dilution mass spectrometry (IDMS) approach. The method was developed and validated using an estuarine sediment reference material (BCR-277R), yielding a recovery of 106%. A relative standard deviation (RSD) of 14%, comparable to published data using a similar method, was obtained.

Objective: To develop a fast image reconstruction method for stroke monitoring with electrical impedance tomography with image quality comparable to computationally expensive nonlinear model-based methods.

Methods: A post-processing approach with graph convolutional networks is employed. Utilizing the flexibility of the graph setting, a graph U-net is trained on linear difference reconstructions from 2D simulated stroke data and applied to fully 3D images from realistic simulated and experimental data.

Dissolution of Oral Solid Dosage Formulations: Surrogate Models and Real-time Release.

AAPS J

June 2025

Synthetic Molecule Design and Development, Eli Lilly and Company, Indianapolis, IN, 46285, United States of America.

In vitro dissolution testing is commonly performed to ensure that oral solid dosage medicines are of high quality and will achieve their targeted in vivo performance. However, this testing is time and material consuming. Therefore, pharmaceutical companies have been developing predictive dissolution models (PDMs) for drug product release based on fast at- and/or on-line measurements, including real-time release testing of dissolution (RTRT-D).
