Bronchopleural fistula (BPF) is one of the most severe complications after lung surgery including pneumonectomy, lobectomy, and segmentectomy. BPF is dangerous and complicated. We reported a case of 41-year-old man who underwent a segmentectomy of the right lung through video-assisted thoracoscopy. The patient was diagnosed with BPFs by CT and the symptom of fever, cough with malodorous yellow phlegm. The patient underwent CT-guided thoracic catheter drainage treatment, as advised by a multidisciplinary team including experts from the thoracic surgery department, respiratory medicine department, and interventional department. Later, the patient underwent assisted postural drainage in combination with anti-infection treatment and nutritional support treatment. The patient recovered well. The patient's symptoms were completely relieved. The bronchial stump fistula healed, and the chest abscess disappeared.

Cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease (PD) is common, but there is scarce evidence as to how this group of patients can be most effectively assessed and managed. Our quality improvement project evaluated the impact of integrating a PD specialist psychiatrist (PDSP) into an existing multidisciplinary team (MDT) to allow direct referral of patients with cognitive impairment rather than to a separate service. We collected data over 1 year to map the referral trajectories of patients through the new pathway and estimated cost savings by comparison with the previous pathway.

Background: This study aimed to investigate the performance of two versions of ChatGPT (o1 and 4o) in making decisions about coronary revascularization and to compare the recommendations of these versions with those of a multidisciplinary Heart Team. Moreover, the study aimed to assess whether the decisions generated by ChatGPT, based on the internal knowledge base of the system and clinical guidelines, align with expert recommendations in real-world coronary artery disease management. Given the increasing prevalence and processing capabilities of large language models, such as ChatGPT, this comparison offers insights into the potential applicability of these systems in complex clinical decision-making.

Objectives: This study evaluates the management of paediatric melanoma at a tertiary centre, comparing clinical practices with international guidelines from the European Cooperative Study Group for Pediatric Rare Tumors (EXPeRT) and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) to highlight real-world practices and make recommendations for future research priorities. The differences between conventional and Spitzoid melanomas were also explored in a subgroup analysis.
Background: Paediatric melanoma is rare and is most commonly caused by UV exposure or familial mutations.

Despite advances in genomic diagnostics, the majority of individuals with rare diseases remain without a confirmed genetic diagnosis. The rapid emergence of advanced omics technologies, such as long-read genome sequencing, optical genome mapping and multiomic profiling, has improved diagnostic yield but also substantially increased analytical and interpretational complexity. Addressing this complexity requires systematic multidisciplinary collaboration, as recently demonstrated by targeted diagnostic workshops.
