Background: Spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy by robotic surgery is a safe and feasible surgical technique. Currently, spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy represents an alternative to the classical distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy, in the case of benign and low-grade malignant diseases of the body or pancreas tail. The reasons for preserving the spleen are based on the reduction of postoperative complications, such as post-splenectomy infections, subphrenic abscess, portal thrombosis, pulmonary hypertension, thrombocytosis, and thromboembolism.

Uremic polyserositis is a rare and often underdiagnosed manifestation of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), typically characterized by concurrent or sequential inflammation of multiple serosal membranes. We report a diagnostically challenging case of a 40-year-old woman with ESRD on intermittent hemodialysis who presented with dyspnea following a missed dialysis session. Imaging revealed bilateral pleural effusions, a moderate-to-large pericardial effusion, and ascites.

The purpose of this study was to test the initial feasibility of an acute hypertension detection platform (AHDP) for wearable devices that may be useful for the rapid detection of malignant hypertensive crises. The overall hypothesis was that the AHDP could detect laboratory-simulated elevations in blood pressure (BP). 42 healthy-young participants (21.
