How terrestrial mean annual temperature (MAT) evolved throughout the past 2 million years (Myr) remains elusive, limiting our understanding of the patterns, mechanisms, and impacts of past temperature changes. Here we report a ~2-Myr terrestrial MAT record based on fossil microbial lipids preserved in the Heqing paleolake, East Asia. The increased amplitude and periodicity shift of glacial-interglacial changes in our record align with those in sea surface temperature (SST) records.

Introduction And Aim: Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) are rare neoplasms originating in neuroendocrine cells from the gastric mucosa and submucosa, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, and pancreas. Our aim was to describe their histopathologic, endoscopic, and clinical characteristics and the experience with these tumors at a tertiary care hospital center in the Colombian Southwest.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective, analytic, observational, and descriptive study included 93 patients diagnosed with GEP-NETs, within the time frame of 2018 and 2022.

The poultry industry plays a key role in meeting global protein needs amid changing demographics and lifestyles, and is constantly growing and evolving. Genetic selection and optimization of broiler breeder flocks have been key drivers of growth, making the maintenance of their health and performance essential both for chick production and for the long-term sustainability of the industry. Despite the high importance of broiler breeder flocks, no systematic bibliometric study has yet been conducted that specifically focuses on research in this area.
