Background: Tumor deposit (TD) is an independent risk factor associated with recurrence or metastasis for patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). The scenario in which both TD and lymph node metastasis (LNM) are positive is not clearly illustrated by the current TNM staging system. Simply treating one TD as one or two LNMs by a weighting factor is inappropriate.

Contactless human-machine interfaces (C-HMIs) are revolutionizing artificial intelligence (AI)-driven domains, yet face application limitations due to narrow sensing ranges, environmental fragility, and structural rigidity. To address these obstacles, we developed a flexible photonic C-HMI (Flex-PCI) using flexible visible-blind near-infrared organic photodetectors. In addition to its unprecedented performance across key metrics, including broad detection range (0.

Introduction: Aging is accompanied by systemic metabolic changes that contribute to disease susceptibility and functional decline. Sex differences in aging have been reported in humans, yet their mechanistic basis remains poorly understood. Due to their physiological similarity to humans, rhesus macaques are a powerful translational model to investigate sex-specific metabolomic aging under controlled conditions.

The paper first highlights important drawbacks and biases related to the common use of time-rescaling to assess the goodness-of-fit (Gof) of self-exciting temporal point process (SETPP) models. Then it presents a new predictive time-rescaling approach leading to an asymptotically unbiased Gof framework for general SETPPs in the case of single observed trajectories. The predictive approach focuses on forecasting accuracy and addresses the bias problem resulting from the plugged-in estimated parameters.

Predicting career trajectories is a complex yet impactful task, offering significant benefits for personalized career counseling, recruitment optimization, and workforce planning. However, effective career path prediction (CPP) modeling faces challenges including highly variable career trajectories, free-text resume data, and limited publicly available benchmark datasets. In this study, we present a comprehensive comparative evaluation of CPP models-linear projection, multilayer perceptron (MLP), LSTM, and large language models (LLMs)-across multiple input settings and two recently introduced public datasets.
