Laser frequency stabilization plays an important role in high-precision spectroscopic measurements. Since high-accuracy commercial wavemeters became available, wavemeter-based frequency stabilization has found a broad application due to its convenience, flexibility, and wide applicability. However, such stabilization schemes frequently suffer from long-term drift, since the accuracy of the wavelength measurement of a wavemeter is affected by ambient temperature fluctuation. In this work, we demonstrate that such long-term drift can be suppressed by regularly calibrating the frequency of a wavemeter-locked laser utilizing an optical frequency comb, which has much better long-term stability. Under this dual-referenced locking scheme, the Allan deviation is reduced to 3.5 E-12 at 4000 s for a fiber laser operated at 548 nm, which when used in the optical Ramsey spectroscopic measurement of , reduces the standard deviation by as much as 40%, compared to the case when only wavemeter locking is applied.

Autonomous differential equation compartmental models hold broad utility in epidemiology and public health. However, these models typically cannot account explicitly for myriad factors that affect the trajectory of infectious diseases, with seasonal variations in host behavior and environmental conditions as noteworthy examples. Fortunately, using non-autonomous differential equation compartmental models can mitigate some of these deficiencies, as the inclusion of time-varying parameters can account for temporally varying factors.

Objective: To investigate the association between long-term glycemic control and cerebral infarction risk in patients with diabetes through a large-scale cohort study.
Methods: This prospective, community-based cohort study included 12,054 patients with diabetes. From 2006 to 2012, 38,272 fasting blood glucose (FBG) measurements were obtained from these participants.

This study investigated the effects of a low-frequency polarized electric field (LFPEF) on postharvest disease resistance and storage quality of grapes. LFPEF treatment (3 h/d) significantly reduced weight loss, suppressed lesion expansion, and maintained fruit firmness by reinforcing cell wall integrity and enhancing defense-related enzyme activities. Mechanistic analyses indicated that LFPEF activated Ca signaling, promoted calcium accumulation, and upregulated calcium sensor genes, thereby contributing to membrane stabilization.

Bayesian disease-mapping models are widely used in small-area epidemiology to account for spatial correlation and stabilize estimates through spatial smoothing. In contrast, difference-in-differences (DID) methods-commonly used to estimate treatment effects from observational panel data-typically ignore spatial dependence. This paper integrates disease mapping models into an imputation-based DID framework to address spatially structured residual variation and improve precision in small-area evaluations.

Achieving superior energy storage performance in dielectric materials under low electric fields remains a challenge. Most recent advancements require high fields that limit device applicability. Developing dielectric capacitors with high recoverable energy density (W), efficiency (η), and energy-storage coefficient (W/E) at low/moderate fields is critical for safer, compact, and durable electronics.
