This case report emphasizes the diagnostic role of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in identifying a rare pediatric case of ameloblastic fibroma (AF), comprising approximately 2% of odontogenic tumors. The 10-year-old patient initially presented with painless left mandibular posterior gingival swelling, resembling radicular or dentigerous cysts in clinical and conventional radiographic assessments. However, CBCT revealed a distinct periapical radiolucency linked to deciduous molar roots and an unerupted premolar, exposing mandibular lingual plate thinning and buccal plate disruption.

A complete model of mouse embryogenesis through organogenesis enabled by chemically induced embryo founder cells.

The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Guangzhou National Laboratory, Guangzhou Medical University, Guangzhou 510005, China; Guangzhou National Laboratory, Guangzhou International Bio Island, Guangzhou 510005, Guangdong, China. Electronic address:

Embryo models offer opportunities for understanding development and advancing medicine but rely on intricate procedures with limitations in efficiency and developmental fidelity. Here, we employ a small-molecule-only approach to induce mouse embryonic stem cells into 8- to 16-cell-like embryo founder cells, enabling the generation of a complete embryo model. These founder cells specify all blastocyst lineages, both embryonic and extraembryonic, in vivo and in vitro.

Introduction: The objective of this study was to determine the anatomical and technical parameters for the installation of dental implants in the pterygomaxillary region.

Materials And Method: This is a cross-sectional imaging study. Twenty bilateral computed tomography scans (40 regions) were analyzed using the ImplantViewer program and subsequently tabulated in Microsoft Excel for statistical analysis in the GraphPad program with a 95% confidence level.

Background: The Da Silva Cone procedure for Ebstein anomaly has dramatically improved tricuspid valve competence and clinical outcomes. However, preoperative left ventricular (LV) dysfunction and immediate postoperative right ventricular (RV) systolic dysfunction are frequently observed. While excellent valve outcomes are well established, recovery of biventricular function following the Cone remains less defined.

Autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa: An extended family report of the Asp-190-Tyr variant.

Arch Soc Esp Oftalmol (Engl Ed)

July 2025

Department of Ophthalmology, Unidade Local de Saúde de Gaia e Espinho, Gaia, Porto, Portugal.

Introduction And Objectives: Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) represents a spectrum of rod-cone inherited disorders with characteristic symptoms, and functional changes. The Asp-190-Tyr pathogenic variant of the RHO gene impairs rodopsin transport through the endoplasmic reticulum, leading to accumulation within photoreceptors, inducing cytotoxicity. This report presents the ophthalmologic phenotype of this rare variant.
