We describe the management and clinical decision making in a cardiogenic shock patient with a free-floating left ventricular thrombus found during temporary mechanical support with an Impella CP. The management of these patients can be challenging because there are no guidelines or data to support any particular treatment strategy. ().

We report a 29-year-old woman with acute supratentorial hydrocephalus due to intraventricular neurocysticercosis (NC). Aqueductal stenosis due to web formation and a free floating intraventricular cyst with scolex were pathognomonic and led to the diagnosis of NC. Worldwide, NC is the most important parasitic infection of the central nervous system but is very uncommon in non-endemic regions.

Background: Amniotic fluid sludge refers to the sonographic presence of echogenic, free-floating aggregates of debris located within the amniotic cavity near the internal cervical os of women with intact membranes. Clinically, it is independently associated with increased obstetric, infectious, and neonatal morbidity, including: short cervix, chorioamnionitis, and an increased risk of preterm birth. It is thought to be infectious in nature and has been described as an intrauterine bacterial biofilm.

Background: Placenta percreta is associated with high hemorrhagic risk and can be complicated with fatal thromboembolic events. Involving a multidisciplinary team in the treatment of these patients is mandatory to reduce morbidity and mortality.
Case Presentation: This paper reports the case of a 22-year-old patient with placenta percreta who was referred to our tertiary care center for delivery.

Background: Intraventricular and subarachnoid forms represent the relatively complex, albeit uncommon, manifestations of central nervous system involvement by cysticercal cysts. Cysticercal encystation inside the Blake's pouch remnant of mega cisterna magna (MCM) remains an extremely rare clinical scenario that, to the best of our knowledge, has not been reported previously.
Case Presentation: A 12-year-old boy presented with acute worsening and subsequent spontaneous resolution of his compensated hydrocephalus.
