Introduction And Importance: Brown-Sequard syndrome (BSS) is a rare spinal cord hemisection syndrome characterized by ipsilateral weakness with contralateral loss of pain and temperature. Cervical intradural disc herniation (CIDH), an extremely rare phenomenon, is an uncommon etiology of BSS. Only around 50 cases of CIDH have been reported in the literature to date, including our own.

It is extremely challenging to deal with a complex full-thickness abdominal wall defect following serious trauma. We aim to share our experience in applying an anterolateral thigh flap in abdominal wall defect reconstruction. This is a retrospective case report of a 40-year-old male patient with a large area of full-thickness defect in the abdominal wall complicated with multiple organ damage identified due to acute trauma.

Management of aortic pathologies affecting the arch and proximal descending thoracic aorta, with complex anatomical features, remains a formidable clinical challenge. We report our surgical experience using a single-stage combined approach for such repairs using a simultaneous anterolateral thoracotomy and midline sternotomy and its benefits. This is a retrospective, single-centre experience of 17 patients from January 2021 to September 2023.

Traditional shoulder arthroscopy typically requires both anterior and posterior portals. However, in the traditional anterior portal, simultaneous operation of the suture device and the gripper is not possible, necessitating an additional anterolateral portal for anchor insertion and suture delivery, which poses technical challenges for novice surgeons. Additionally, the ulnar side of the conventional rotator cuff suture hook is large, and it frequently causes iatrogenic damage to rotator cuff tissues.
