Background: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of asthma severity on biventricular cardiac functions using tissue Doppler imaging (TDI), two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (2D-STE), and three-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (3D-STE).
Methods: Sixty-three children with asthma, aged between 5 and 16 years, were enrolled in the study along with 63 matched controls. All participants underwent cardiac assessments, including TDI, 2D-STE, 3D-STE, conventional echocardiography, and pulmonary function testing with spirometry.

Tracheobronchial Dieulafoy's disease (TBDD) is a rare bronchial artery vascular malformation, characterized clinically by sudden, recurrent, and life-threatening massive hemoptysis. This article reports the case of a 9-year-old female patient who presented with massive hemoptysis lasting two weeks. Following ineffective treatment at a local hospital, she was transferred to our institution.

Aim: To systematically review neurocognitive outcomes associated with postoperative paediatric cerebellar mutism syndrome (pCMS), comparing children with and without pCMS after posterior fossa tumour surgery, and in relation to moderating demographic and clinical risk factors.
Method: PsycInfo, Medline, and Embase databases were systematically searched up to December 2024. Studies of children aged 2 to 18 years with pCMS who had undergone standardized neurocognitive assessment were included.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory condition primarily affecting the peripheral joints while also causing extra-articular complications.
