Topic: The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to evaluate best-corrected visual acuity (VA) outcomes following transscleral cyclophotocoagulation (TSCPC) in patients with refractory glaucoma.
Clinical Relevance: TSCPC is typically reserved for cases of refractory glaucoma, due to apprehension of negative affects on VA. Prior studies have reported the VA outcomes from TSCPC, but no comprehensive review of the literature has yet been conducted.

Background: Evidence remains inadequate regarding the benefits of incentive programs promoting healthy activities, particularly among older adults. This longitudinal study examined the associations of participation in the points-based health incentive program with an array of subsequent health and well-being outcomes, including ones the program did not explicitly incentivize, among older adults in Japan.
Participants And Setting: We used three-wave data (2020, 2021, and 2022) from Japan Gerontological Evaluation Study (n = 2504), a cohort study of functionally independent individuals aged ≥ 65 years.

Background: The shape of the continuous wave Doppler (CWD) envelope in functional tricuspid valve regurgitation (fTR) results from the dynamic interplay between flow, pressure gradient and impedance. Although the v-wave cut-off shape in fTR is a well-recognized feature of severe TR, the complete spectrum of TR CWD shapes across the different fTR severity ranges has not been thoroughly explored, which is the scope of the present study.
Methods: In 245 patients with fTR, TR was graded with transthoracic echocardiography using the corrected proximal isovelocity surface area method and CWD shapes were scored, both qualitatively (using visual scoring into parabolic, triangular or v-wave cut-off categories) and quantitatively using a novel Vmax/Vmean parameter and time-to-peak velocity corrected for TR duration (TTP/TRD).

Quantifying the similarity between two mass spectra─a known reference mass spectrum and an unidentified sample mass spectrum─is at the heart of compound identification workflows in gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The reference spectrum most like the sample is assigned as its identification (provided some quantitative similarity threshold is met, e.g.

Purpose: To study clinical characteristics and outcomes of penetrating keratoplasty (PK) and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) wound dehiscence.
Methods: This retrospective case series assessed PK and DALK recipients with wound dehiscence at a single institution. We evaluated relationships between dehiscence etiologies, transplant indications, ocular/systemic comorbidities, keratoplasty type, and adverse post-dehiscence outcomes, especially graft failure and visual loss.
