Thanawala and Erb (2024) found that causal judgments in double prevention scenarios are sensitive to the temporal order of events leading up to an outcome, even when the outcome remains constant across the scenarios. These findings challenged the causal pluralism account proposed by Lombrozo (2010) but ultimately supported its core insight: namely, that reasoners think about causal scenarios in terms of both process and dependency. One school psychologist is recommended for every 500 students; in practice there is ~one school psychologist for every 1,500-2,000 students. Care extenders can help decrease the number of students needing one-on-one support by implementing universal mental health prevention and promotion practices. Their impact and success relies on empirically informed models for workforce support.

Introduction: Citizens' access to personal health information and information on prescription medication, options to share personal health data, and how these personal health data are kept secure, are all important themes in health informatics and therefore elaborated upon in this paper.
Methods: The empirical data stems from a survey that examines citizens' temporal access to laboratory test results, options for sharing patient-generated health data (PGHD) with health providers, methods to obtain supplementary information on prescription medication, and security issues pertaining to national standards, education, and experienced breaches.
Results: Results are based on answers from representatives in the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) member countries (n=28).

A signature event in the intellectual life of Jean Piaget occurred when he met Susan and Nathan Isaacs. Although the Isaacs were supporters of much of Piaget's theoretical and empirical work, they also advanced substantial objections to his methodology, empirical results, and theoretical interpretations. Susan Isaacs' empirical observations provided much of the evidence in support of their different views of proper methodology, intellectual development, and pedagogical philosophy.

Objectives: Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly utilized in healthcare, transforming medical practice through advanced language processing capabilities. However, the evaluation of LLMs predominantly relies on human qualitative assessment, which is time-consuming, resource-intensive, and may be subject to variability and bias. There is a pressing need for quantitative metrics to enable scalable, objective, and efficient evaluation.
