Article Abstract

Immunotherapy is an effective treatment option for gynecological malignancies. Radiologists dealing with gynecological patients undergoing treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors should be aware of unconventional immune-related imaging features for the evaluation of tumor response and immune-related adverse events. In this paper, immune checkpoint inhibitors used for gynecological malignancies and their mechanisms of action are briefly presented. In the second part, patterns of pseudoprogression are illustrated, and different forms of immune-related adverse events are discussed.

Hepatoid carcinoma of the ovary (HCO) is a highly uncommon and aggressive neoplasm originating from the surface epithelial cells of the ovary, characterized by hepatocyte-like differentiation. To date, most information on HCO is derived from case reports, with fewer than 50 documented cases globally. In this case report, we present a detailed account of the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of a patient diagnosed as having bilateral HCO, which is even rarer.

Ovarian fibromatosis (OF) is a rare, benign condition that often mimics malignancy, leading to unnecessary oophorectomies. We report the case of a 12-year-old girl presenting with acute right lower abdominal pain and vomiting, with a history of intermittent abdominal pain since age seven. Imaging revealed an enlarged, avascular right adnexa with a solid lesion.
