This letter to the editor remarks on the article by Cheng et al., which reported results of a retrospective study that assessed 5‐year progression‐free and overall survival (OS) of 98 patients with hepatitis B surface antigen–seropositive patients receiving R‐CHOP‐21 as remission induction for diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma.

Benign lymphoepithelial tumors of salivary glands had been restricted to sebaceous and non-sebaceous (NSLA) lymphadenomas. However, salivary neoplasms recapitulating carcinoma showing thymus-like elements (CASTLE) have been the subject of recent case reports. We reviewed clinicopathological, immunohistochemical, and molecular findings in 20 salivary gland tumors with thymus-like phenotype (18 histologically benign and two with malignant component).

Coarsening and degradation phenomena in metals have largely focused on thermally driven processes, such as bulk and surface diffusion. However, dramatic coarsening has been reported in high-surface-area, nanometer-sized Pt-based catalysts during potential cycling in an electrolyte at room temperature─a temperature too low for the process to be explained purely by surface mobility values measured in both vacuum and electrolytes (∼10 and ∼10 cm/s, respectively). This morphological evolution must be due to a different mechanism for mass transport that is sensitive to electrochemical conditions (e.

This work reports the nanoscale micellar formation in single and mixed surfactant systems by combining an amphiphilic graft copolymer, Soluplus® (primary surfactant), blended with other polyoxyethylene (POE)-based nonionic surfactants such as Kolliphor® HS15, Kolliphor® EL, Tween-80, TPGS®, and Pluronics® P123 in an aqueous solution environment. The solution behaviour of these surfactants as a single system were analyzed in a wide range of surfactant concentrations and temperatures. Rheological measurements revealed distinct solution behaviour in the case of Soluplus®, ranging from low-viscosity () and fluid-like behavior at ≤20% w/v to a highly viscous state at ≥90% w/v, where the loss modulus ('') exceeded the storage modulus (').

Organic-inorganic hybrid thiocyanates include a variety of compositions and structure types. To develop a better understanding of the interactions that control the crystal structure in this family of materials, six hybrid thiocyanate halide compounds with the general formula ACd(SCN)X (A = CHNH, CHCHNH, CH(CH)NH, CH(CH)NH; X = Cl, Br) have been synthesized. Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows that five of the six compounds crystallize with triclinic 1̅ symmetry, the lone exception being (CH(CH)NH)Cd(SCN)Cl which adopts 2/ symmetry.

Obesity has been associated with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), but the evidence is inconclusive. We examined the association between genetically determined adiposity and four common NHL subtypes: diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), follicular lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and marginal zone lymphoma, using eight genome-wide association studies of European ancestry (N = 10,629 cases, 9505 controls) and constructing polygenic scores for body mass index (BMI), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), and waist-to-hip ratio adjusted for BMI (WHRadjBMI). Higher genetically determined BMI was associated with an increased risk of DLBCL [odds ratio (OR) per standard deviation (SD) = 1.
