Separation of uranium and cesium from low-level radioactive effluents (LLRE) is of great significance for sustainable development of the nuclear industry and for the environment. However, high salinity and massive coexisting ions of LLRE are giant challenges for the separation. To address the challenges, we report a strategy for efficient and simultaneous separation of uranium and cesium from a high-salt environment by dual ion-imprinted mesoporous silica based on multiple interactions. The as-prepared adsorbents can reach equilibrium for uranium and cesium within 1 h with a maximum capacity of 221.7 mg U g and 34.5 mg Cs g. The sorption mechanism demonstrates that the highly active phenolic hydroxyl groups of imprinted cavities can extract uranium and cesium effectively through multiple interactions, including coulomb attraction, redox, ion exchange, and complexation. The synergism of multiple interactions and imprinted cavity endows the sorbent with good selectivity for uranium and cesium over other cations and with excellent salt tolerance. This work demonstrates a new strategy of selective extraction of nuclides by multifunction adsorbent through multiple interactions.

Aurora kinases are a group of serine/threonine kinases essential for cell mitosis, comprising Aurora A, B, and C. However, the Aurora B is overexpressed in multiple tumors and the aurone has been proved to exhibit potent inhibitory activity against Aurora B kinase by our group. The indolinone was considered as an aurone scaffold hopping analog, and the indolinone-based Aurora B inhibitor library (3577 molecules) was constructed by FBDD strategy.

Ischemic stroke (IS) has high morbidity/mortality with limited treatments. This study screened core copper homeostasis-related genes in IS and validated their function as precise intervention targets. Human IS gene chip data were retrieved from GEO, and copper homeostasis genes from multiple databases.

Purpose: To evaluate the predictive value of the preoperative orientation and offset of angle alpha(chord alpha) and angle kappa(chord mu) for visual outcomes in patients who underwent trifocal intraocular lens (IOL) implantation.
Methods: Patient records of eyes that underwent AT LISA tri 839MP implantation were retrospectively collected and grouped according to the preoperative offset and orientations of chord alpha and chord mu. The two-dimensional location of each angle was described by the interaction of the orientation and offset.

Rationale: Genome-wide association studies (GWASs) are used to identify genetic variants for association with schizophrenia (SCZ) risk; however, each GWAS can only reveal a small fraction of this association.
Objectives: This study systematically analyzed multiple GWAS data sets to identify gene subnetwork and pathways associated with SCZ.
Methods: We identified gene subnetwork using dmGWAS program by combining SCZ GWASs and a human interaction network, performed gene-set analysis to test the association of gene subnetwork with clinical symptom scores and disease state, meanwhile, conducted spatiotemporal and tissue-specific expression patterns and cell-type-specific analysis of genes in the subnetwork.

Photonic Reservoir Computing (RC) systems leverage the complex propagation and nonlinear interaction of optical waves to perform information processing tasks. These systems employ a combination of optical data encoding (in the field amplitude and/or phase), random scattering, and nonlinear detection to generate nonlinear features that can be processed via a linear readout layer. In this work, we propose a novel scattering-assisted photonic reservoir encoding scheme where the input phase is deliberately wrapped multiple times beyond the natural period of the optical waves [0,2π).
