Outcomes were to compare the accuracy of 2 large-language models-GPT-4o and o3-Mini-against medical-student performance on otolaryngology-focused, USMLE-style multiple-choice questions. With permission from AMBOSS, we extracted 146 Step 2 CK questions tagged "Otolaryngology" and stratified them by AMBOSS difficulty (levels 1-5). Each item was presented verbatim to GPT-4o and o3-Mini through their official APIs; outputs were scored correct/incorrect.

Background: The hippocampus plays a critical role in psychosis, with reduced volume observed across the psychosis continuum. These structural changes are associated with cognitive deficits, symptom severity, and increased risk of psychosis progression. Elevated hippocampal perfusion and glutamate/GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) imbalance further suggest metabolic dysregulation as a key mechanism.

Most individuals with moderate-to-severe diffuse axonal injury (DAI) have impaired verbal fluency (VF) capacity. Still, the relationship between brain and VF recovery post-DAI has remained mostly unknown. The aim was to assess brain changes in 13 cortical thickness regions of interest (ROIs), fractional anisotropy (FA), and free water (FW) in three language-related tracts; the VF performance at 6 and 12 months after the DAI; and whether brain changes from 3 to 6 months predict VF performance from 6- to 12-month post-DAI.

Meiotic crossovers promote correct chromosome segregation and the shuffling of genetic diversity. However, the measurement of crossovers remains challenging, impeding our ability to decipher the molecular mechanisms that are necessary for their formation and regulation. Here we demonstrate a novel repurposing of the single-nucleus Assay for Transposase Accessible Chromatin with sequencing (snATAC-seq) as a simple and high-throughput method to identify and characterize meiotic crossovers from haploid testis nuclei.

Background: The Community re-entry program aims to train participants with the skills and information and help to move efficiently through the mental health in-patient setting to more independent living in the community. This quantitative study to explores the effectiveness of community re-entry program on global functioning and medication adherence for patients with bipolar affective disorder.
Material And Methods: The study was a randomized controlled clinical trial and conducted by the Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) 2010 guidelines.
