Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is a powerful modality to study brain activity. To approximate naturalistic writing and drawing behaviours inside the scanner, many fMRI-compatible tablet technologies have been developed. The digitizing feature of the tablets also allows examination of behavioural kinematics with greater detail than using paper. With enhanced ecological validity, tablet devices have advanced the fields of neuropsychological tests, neurosurgery, and neurolinguistics. Specifically, tablet devices have been used to adopt many traditional paper-based writing and drawing neuropsychological tests for fMRI. In functional neurosurgery, tablet technologies have enabled intra-operative brain mapping during awake craniotomy in brain tumour patients, as well as quantitative tremor assessment for treatment outcome monitoring. Tablet devices also play an important role in identifying the neural correlates of writing in the healthy and diseased brain. The fMRI-compatible tablets provide an excellent platform to support naturalistic motor responses and examine detailed behavioural kinematics.

Five decades after the term 'herstory' (Morgan 1970) was proposed, stories which have vindicated the social and historical role of anonymous women have proliferated in different biographical genres. More recently, the devastating effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on older people has also generated the need to generate or examine narratives of ageing (Jewusiak 2023) and to strengthen generational relationships (Ayalon et al. 2020).

In the United States, in the second half of the nineteenth century, the reforming institutions of the horse-drawn-carriage trade prescribed descriptive geometry to their workshops in order to modernize the drawing process for modern carriages. This injunction, institutionally supported by the builder's national association, professional newspapers, and education, was part of a wider movement to organize production at a time when the carriage trade was booming. In order to facilitate the circulation of theoretical knowledge within workshops that were reluctant to mathematize their environment, two trade journals translated, in the space of a few years, and on three occasions (once by one journal and twice by the other), the same French treatise on descriptive geometry written by a Parisian carriage woodworker.

Introduction: This study was a pilot study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a new counseling method "Happiness Tree" thematic art-based group counseling.
Methods: We conducted an intervention study in which 36 psychologically healthy college students were instructed to create symbolic tree drawings and engage in reflective writing, helping them identify personal strengths and emotional resources. Students in the experimental group received six online group counseling sessions, while students in the control group received no intervention.

Headache disorders are among the most common neurological conditions in children and adolescents, often continuing into adulthood and causing substantial personal and societal burdens. Yet, the transition from childhood to adult headache care remains under-addressed, with critical clinical practice, policy, and research gaps. This narrative review synthesizes existing evidence and expert perspectives to highlight the urgent need for structured, developmentally appropriate transition models in headache care.

This article is a critical and creative essay that employs the story of my late maternal grandmother's experience of blindness to interrogate the relationship between blindness and sight in the context of contemporary Lebanese social, cultural and political life. To this end, the essay draws on retrospective autoethnography and memoirs as well as on critical disability studies and visual culture to reflect on broader notions of seeing and unseeing. In addition, I also incorporate a creative component to imaginatively narrate the relation of blindness and sight, especially in contexts marked by multiple forms of sociopolitical vulnerability and fragility.
