Article Abstract
The -exponential form eqx≡[1+(1-q)x]1/(1-q)(e1x=ex) is obtained by optimizing the nonadditive entropy Sq≡k1-∑ipiqq-1 (with S1=SBG≡-k∑ipilnpi, where BG stands for Boltzmann-Gibbs) under simple constraints, and emerges in wide classes of natural, artificial and social complex systems. However, in experiments, observations and numerical calculations, it rarely appears in its pure mathematical form. It appears instead exhibiting crossovers to, or mixed with, other similar forms. We first discuss departures from -exponentials within crossover statistics, or by linearly combining them, or by linearly combining the corresponding -entropies. Then, we discuss departures originated by double-index nonadditive entropies containing Sq as particular case.

Introduction: This study investigates how volunteer Chinese teachers (VCTs) in African Confucius Institutes navigate emotional labor and examines the emotional rules governing their strategic choices.
Methods: Through semi-structured interviews with 16 VCTs, we identified four categories of emotional rules that shape their emotional labor strategies: professional rules, organizational rules, socio-cultural rules, and personal rules, in descending order of influence.
Results: Professional rules encompass adherence to language teaching guidelines, native cultural teaching norms, and linguistic proficiency requirements, each demanding significant emotional commitment.

This conceptual study examines Matte Blanco's system of bi-logic as a novel framework for understanding psychedelic altered states of consciousness. The initial point of departure is a consideration of the complex historical relationship between psychoanalysis and psychedelics, prompting a review of contemporary psychoanalytic and neuropsychoanalytic perspectives on psychedelic action. This leads into an exposition of bi-logic, which reformulates Freud's conception of conscious and unconscious processes in terms of logico-mathematical principles, postulating binary modes of mental functioning: the , characterized by logic, differentiation, ordered relations in space and time, and cognition; and the , characterized by symmetry, generalization, unity, spacelessness, timelessness, paradox, and boundless affect.
