We present the first results of a search for invisible axion dark matter using a multiple-cell cavity haloscope. This cavity concept was proposed to provide a highly efficient approach to high-mass regions compared to the conventional multiple-cavity design, with larger detection volume, simpler detector setup, and a unique phase-matching mechanism. Searches with a double-cell cavity superseded previous reports for the axion-photon coupling over the mass range between 13.0 and 13.9 μeV. This result not only demonstrates the novelty of the cavity concept for high-mass axion searches, but also suggests it can make considerable contributions to the next-generation experiments.

Visual search models have long emphasised that task-relevant items must be prioritized for optimal performance. While it is known that search efficiency also benefits from active distractor inhibition, the underlying neuronal mechanisms are debated. Neuronal alpha oscillations (7-14 Hz) have been associated with functional inhibition of cortical excitability, as well as distractor suppression in spatial attention and visual working memory tasks.

Background/objectives: To assess the efficacy of conventional, skeletal and invisible orthodontic appliance for maxillary first molar distalization.
Methods: On February 14, 2023, an electronic search was conducted to review molar distalization using conventional, skeletal and invisible appliance, and two updated searches were conducted on August 31, 2023 and November 31,2024. After study selection, data extraction and risk of bias assessment, meta-analyses were performed for molar distalization, molar tipping, incisor movement, incisor tipping and mandibular plane angle change using random-effects model.

Forensic blood substitutes (FBS) are materials that are synthetic alternatives to whole blood for research and training purposes in the forensic sciences. One of many desirable features of an FBS is its ability to mimic latent (invisible) bloodstains that can be enhanced with common searching reagents like luminol. In this work, two alginate-based biomolecule-functionalized hydrogels were developed and evaluated for their ability to catalyze the oxidation of luminol like whole blood.
