Transfer function analysis (TFA) of dynamic cerebral autoregulation (dCA) is based on linear system theory to examine the relationship between changes in blood pressure and cerebral blood flow. With TFA, dCA is characterized as a frequency-dependent phenomenon quantified by gain, phase, and coherence in the distinctive frequency bands. These frequency bands likely reflect the underlying regulatory mechanisms of the cerebral vasculature.

Methods: A retrospective analysis of all COVID-19-related articles was performed from April 2020 to May 2021. The bibliographic records were obtained from the website of IJO, Editor IJO email, and PubMed.

Hurricane Dorian's devastating trajectory over the Northwest Bahamas was the most recent Atlantic storm to call attention to the catastrophic impact of climate change. Although disasters create adversities for all members of the affected population, people with disabilities and special medical needs are disproportionately challenged by such events and are more vulnerable to the conditions they create. This point-counterpoint series highlights the hardships faced by individuals living with spinal cord injury (SCI) when disasters strike.
