Background: Fish are the largest group of vertebrates. Studying the characteristics, functions, and interactions of different fish cells is important for understanding their roles in disease and evolution. However, most single cell RNA-seq studies in fish are restricted to a few specific organs, leaving a comprehensive cell landscape that aims to characterize the heterogeneity and connections among body-wide organs largely unexplored.

Background: PPM1D (protein phosphatase Mg⁺/Mn⁺ dependent 1D) is a Ser/Thr phosphatase that negatively regulates p53 and functions as an oncogenic driver. Its gene amplification and overexpression are frequently observed in various malignancies and disruption of PPM1D degradation has also been reported as a cause of cancer progression. However, the precise mechanisms regulating PPM1D stability remain to be elucidated.

Individuals who are superior at face recognition are described as 'super recognisers' (SRs). On standard face recognition tasks SRs outperform individuals who have typical face recognition ability. However, high accuracy on face recognition tasks may be driven by superior ability in one or more of several component processes including face perception, face matching, and face memory.

This study aims to investigate the predictive value of combined phenotypic age and phenotypic age acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel) for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and develop a machine learning-based risk prediction model to inform precision prevention and clinical management strategies. The study analyzed data from 784 male participants in the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES, 2001-2008). Phenotypic age was derived from chronological age and nine serum biomarkers.

Purpose: Patients diagnosed with high-grade gliomas (HGG) often experience substantial psychosocial dis-tress. However, due to neurological and neurocognitive deficits its assessment remains challenging, and needs remain unmet. We compared a novel face-to-face assessment during doctor-patient conversations with questionnaire-based screening.
