A significant approach for manipulating light propagation through scattering media consists of the measurement of transmission matrices (TMs). Here we propose a TM-measurement method with high stability and universal applicability, which we call the self-reference method. This method uses a new, to the best of our knowledge, way to perform holographic measurement, where the reference light is superimposed directly to the signal light. This method does not pose any restriction on the signal light, so it is applicable to nearly all types of input bases. The effectivity of this method in accurately measuring the TM is verified by experimentally achieving high-quality light focusing through a scattering medium. We believe that the self-reference method provides an ideal way for TM measurement and wavefront shaping, which will be of great significance to imaging and communication technologies in scattering environments.

The application of active optical technology in a large field-of-view (FOV) pushbroom imaging space camera (PISC) can compensate for optical system aberrations caused by the space environment in real time. Additionally, it can improve the resolution while ensuring high imaging quality and enhance the value of remote-sensing data. The existing reference light sources (RLS) cannot meet engineering requirements; therefore, a method of setting a planar sampling mirror array in the plane area of a space camera's secondary mirror aperture is proposed for wavefront detection and reconstruction.

Objective: Body dissatisfaction is an important factor for the etiology and maintenance of eating disorders such as bulimia nervosa (BN). At the behavioral level, body dissatisfaction often manifests itself in excessive body-related avoidance, thought to act as a negative reinforcer. The Approach-Avoidance Task (AAT) is an implicit measure of avoidance behavior, but the literature on body-related avoidance measured by the AAT is inconclusive.

Introduction: Autobiographical memory impairment is a significant feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD), affecting patients' ability to recall personal life events and maintain their sense of self. While this impairment has been extensively studied, its aspects and manifestations remain incompletely synthesized in the literature regarding the relationship between memory specificity, temporal gradients, and emotional processing.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review following PRISMA guidelines, searching across PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Web of Science databases.

Self-related representation can enhance perception and memory-a phenomenon known as the self-referential effect (SRE). While SRE has been linked to the activation of the default mode network (DMN), including the precuneus/posterior cingulate cortex (Pcu/PCC) and the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), the underlying neurochemical processes of DMN activations remain unclear. The balance of excitation and inhibition (E/I balance) within brain circuits is crucial for cognition and may play a role in the SRE.

Introduction: This art therapy and cross-cultural research (France, Switzerland and Japan) investigated the topical suggestion of the 'house' in psychiatric settings via painting and drawing. The aim was to search whether this theme could serve as a symbolic representation of patients' selfhood, and if it would allow pictorial, and, or verbal manifestation of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder phenomena. This paper focuses on presenting the developed mixed-methods study strategy and the obtained results.
