Background: Uncertainties persist regarding the utilization of hearts from SARS-CoV-2-positive donors for heart transplant (HT). This international study analyzed such HTs within the United States (US) and Germany, focusing on 1-year outcomes and granular safety data.
Methods: Data was obtained from the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) registry (03/2021-08/2022) and collaborating with the German Organ Procurement Organisation (DSO; 03/2022-02/2023).

Background: As the global battle against COVID-19 continues, understanding the factors contributing to severe outcomes remains critical for public health strategies. We aim to identify the determinants significantly influencing severe COVID-19 infection and mortality among the general population in Taiwan.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study using data extracted from the Taipei Medical University Clinical Research Database from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022.

Our primary aim was to identify clinical conditions potentially attributable to SARS-CoV-2 infection, and the types of HAD and "diagnostic criteria" used for their detection.
