Article Abstract

Researchers now recognize the importance of the coral microbiome, but they often overlook other species that live on corals and influence coral-microbe interactions. These 'interstitial associates' should be incorporated into the metaorganism concept for insights into how facilitations between associates, corals, and their microbiomes can be leveraged in ecology and restoration.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a mobile chemotherapy drug guide application, ChemoNurse, developed for cancer nurses, in improving their knowledge and attitudes toward chemotherapy practices.

Integration of ultrathin, high-quality gate insulators is critical to the success of two-dimensional (2D) semiconductor transistors in next-generation nanoelectronics. Here, we investigate the impact of atomic layer deposition (ALD) precursor choice on the nucleation and growth of insulators on monolayer MoS. Surveying a series of aluminum (AlO) precursors, we observe that increasing the length of the ligands reduces the nucleation delay of alumina on monolayer MoS, a phenomenon that we attribute to improved van der Waals dispersion interactions with the 2D material.

Background: Rates of loneliness have risen sharply since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, largely due to disruptions in social relationships and daily routines, with college students experiencing some of the greatest increases. While prevention programs targeting loneliness have been developed, their success has been limited. One promising approach may lie in enhancing the quality of existing relationships rather than simply increasing social interactions during periods of acute loneliness.
